Hey Y’all, another after effects freebie, this time a smoke movieclip 720×480, 25 seconds long. I posted a GREAT tutorial by Aharon Rabinowitz that’s called “Title Sequence Transitions with Fire & Water in After Effects“.

In this after effects video tutorial, Aharon shows us how to use a gradient wipe to reveal text from within the clouds of smoke as if the video clip were actually 3D particles. It’s very cool! So this video clip should get you through that part of the tutorial anyway. It’s very long 40 some odd minutes but worth every second. Aharon discusses some very interesting masking and transition techniques.
